Operation Safety is Sussex Police’s dedicated response to knife crime and serious violence.
In a bid to combat knife crime, alongside the ongoing operational activity such as regular patrols, knife arches and intelligence-led stop searches, Sussex Police also focus on engagement with younger members of the community.
This summer, Op Safety has helped to fund free football sessions in Eastbourne as part of the Premier League Kicks programme which is run by Brighton and Hove Albion Foundation.
"The official charity of Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club have been using the power of football to engage and inspire people to make good life choices and help to reduce inequalities in their local communities for over 30 years and I am delighted to support them", says Katy Bourne the Conservative Police and Crime Commissioner for Sussex.
